CCF Drill Competition: National Win

James’ troop won the national drill competition last week, one of the most important events in the Royal Marine Cadet calendar. This entitles the troop to have the honour of Kings Squad – “the best of the best”.

As guard commander, James lead his troop to victory by clearly and distinctly giving drill instructions, insuring the troop were fully in sync and followed all protocols. Many of the troop, like James, were in the midst of their GCSE revision. Their level of accuracy and alignment was astonishing and the competition showed some of the best drill displays from cadet squads that the judges had ever seen!
