Hans Woyda Competition

Hans Woyda Competition

Early in November, Caterham’s Hans Woyda team (made up of a Third Year pupil, a Fourth Year pupil, a Lower Sixth Form student and an Upper Sixth Form student) hosted Woldingham School for the second match in this year’s competition. The Hans Woyda competition sees 64 schools from across London and the South East compete in a league format in order to qualify for the finals. Defeated by Wilson’s School in the first match on the 3 October, our team was determined to win this one to keep alive their chances of progressing to the next round.

Nerves were tense and it was a rocky start with Woldingham the first to score some points. However, all four students bounced back strongly each contributing to the clear 32-16 win by the end of seven rounds.

Congratulations to all involved and optimism is high as we enter round three in early December.
