House Art 2018
On Thursday 22 November we celebrated the artistic submissions for the House Art Competition for 2018. The pupils had been asked to respond, without teacher support, to the theme of ‘escape’. There was a wide range of media explored and highly varied and imaginative creations. In each of the categories there was a chance for 21 pupils’ work to be selected to win points for their house.
The house that won the juniors category was Aldercombe, the boarders won the inters category and Rodgefield won the seniors. Individual overall winners were Amali in the juniors, Alice in the inters and Ellen in the seniors.
There was an excellent turn out of pupils eager to see who had won and to view the artworks. The exhibition will be up until the New Year so please pop into the Christine Walker Gallery and have a look if you are passing.
