LACROSSE: CATERHAM VS WYCOMBE ABBEY
200 girls made the journey to Wycombe Abbey School for lacrosse fixtures where they competed superbly. The closely contested nature of all of the matches was a joy to behold with all girls, from both schools, playing some superb lacrosse and learning so much from the day’s play. There were two outstanding wins at senior level where both the 1st team (9-8) and the 2nd team (7-6) came on top by just one goal. The girls held their nerve against strong opposition which bodes very well for the rest of the season. There were also wins for the U13A (9-5), the U12A (9-5) and a draw for the U12B. Even in defeat, the Caterham teams all played some excellent lacrosse and a special mention must go to the U15A (6-8) and U14B (4-5) who both played superbly in their narrow defeats, which could so very easily have been victories on another day.
