LAMDA Success Across the School
Congratulations to the 25 students who took their LAMDA exams at the end of last term. Despite difficult circumstances, the pupils gained an outstanding set of results: 16 Distinctions and 9 High Merits.
For some pupils, it was the end of their LAMDA journey at Caterham as they completed their Gold Medal exams before leaving the Upper Sixth Form and we wish them every future success.
Some of these pupils have taken LAMDA exams throughout their time at Caterham School and a particular congratulations should go to Eloise S who has just left Caterham at the end of Fifth Year. Eloise has achieved a Distinction in every LAMDA exam she has taken, including Acting, Devising and Shakespeare and gained the highest mark (91) for her Grade 7 Acting Exam in this set of exams. With a place in the National Youth Theatre, Eloise has a great future ahead.
Fellow Fifth Year pupil, Penny O also deserves a special mention, as she also leaves Caterham to pursue her love of musical theatre. She has also taken a range of Acting, Musical Theatre and Devising exams throughout her time at school with a similar track record of distinctions. Penny has also been accepted into a West End musical theatre company and Mrs Yankova, who has taught both girls LAMDA and English since First Year, and directed them in a number of productions, would like to wish them both every future success, both on and off stage.
