Lerang’wa Lunches: Countdown to Tanzania

Lerang’wa Lunches: Countdown to Tanzania

There are only 10 weeks to go until 20 Lower Sixth pupils, accompanied by five staff members, set off to Tanzania for 19 days in support of the Lerang’wa Lunches project. This will be Caterham’s 11th visit to our partnership school in rural Tanzania populated by many children from vulnerable Masai communities. The Tanzania 2018 team have been working incredibly hard, including during a team building day this week where lesson plans came to life and fundraising ideas continued to flourish. We also went on a hilly and very muddy team walk as part of our preparation to reach the 4566m summit of Mount Meru. The team have independently raised £1800 so far this academic year in order to improve the diet of children living in poverty and thus ultimately increasing engagement with primary education. You are likely to see the team at school events this term selling refreshments etc. so please do support them and ask them more about the Lerang’wa lunches project!
