Podium Finishes at Girls’ District Finals
On 10 May the U14 and U15 athletics teams competed in the District Championships against fourteen local state and independent schools. The U14 team finished third whilst the U15 finished second overall – a fantastic achievement against the toughest competition in the area!
There were four athletes who were crowned District Champions in their respective events: Olivia and Amelia won the hurdles with times of 13.34 and 12.93 respectively, Lauren threw 9.47m in the shot put and Amy with a jump of 4.85m in the long jump.
Other top performances which scored points for their teams were seen by Taylor (100m, 200m) Zoe (100m), Amy (100m, second place), Sharon (300m) , Lauren (300m), Georgie (300m, second place), Anna (800m), Madeleine (800m), Jemima (200m), Millie (200m), the 4 x 100m Junior Girls relay (fourth place) and the 4 x 100m Inter Girls relay (third place).
