A VICTORIOUS DAY FOR RUGBY

Closer to home almost 300 boys played rugby and all gave a brilliant account of themselves. In a dominant day for Caterham teams, there were nine victories, two draws and four defeats. The U12s kicked things off in the morning in matches against Dunottar. In some pretty soggy conditions, both the A and B teams played some free flowing rugby to record two convincing wins. The U14C and U15C also played Dunottar with the 14Cs playing out an epic 24 all draw and the U15Cs showing what a talented outfit they are by recording a dominant 57-5 victory. Worth providing the opposition in the afternoon matches and the senior teams were in no mood to offer a warm welcome to our friends from down the M23. Both the 1st and 2nd XV were utterly dominant from the 1st whistle to the last and a combined score of 94 to 14 is a measure our senior teams’ dominance. Further excellent victories were recorded by the U16A and U15A in hard fought, physical encounters while the U15B were imperious in their 54-0 win. Both the U14A, U14B fought valiantly in defeat against strong opponents and the U13A were unlucky to lose in a 35-40 thriller.

In both rugby and lacrosse, well done to every single pupil that represented the school with such distinction.
