2021 Oxbridge Offers Span Economics, Science and Arts
Congratulations to the Upper Sixth Form pupils receiving offers for Cambridge and Oxford Universities in what has been a very competitive year for all candidates. This year’s offers include places gained for the highly sought after and oversubscribed courses including Economics & Management, Physics and Engineering, and come following an adjusted admissions and interview process for Covid-19. Our successful Upper Sixth Form applicants will join the 50 plus Old Caterhamians currently studying at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Ceri Jones, Headmaster, said: “It is vital that our young people take the path that is right for them as they progress on from Caterham, and we are proud to support the increasing array of options available, of which Oxbridge remains a popular choice as record audiences at last week’s pupil and parent seminar with Oxbridge tutors illustrated.
This year, perhaps above all others, has been one of real challenge for candidates who have navigated an ever changing academic landscape and endured the challenging selection process for these particularly universities entirely online. These offers represent a huge achievement for our pupils– they have my warm congratulations.
We are proud of our established record of securing Oxbridge offers, but it is just one measure of success. It does, however, say something important about the academic ambition and experience of the school which benefits all pupils whatever their own particular journey may turn out to be.”
