Top Degree Apprenticeship Places Secured
Huge congratulations to our three Sixth Form pupils who have secured places on highly competitive degree apprenticeships with leading global firms Deloitte, Grant Thornton and BDO. Degree apprenticeships are rapidly growing in popularity with each place attracting thousands of applicants globally. This is a huge achievement for Gareth, Husayn and Scott, and for the Careers and Sixth Form team who have supported them through the rigorous application process which began in autumn 2020.
In addition to support from Mrs Brown, Husayn utilised the CaterhamConnected.co.uk platform to research and gain mentoring from Old Cats and parents in his chosen sector before securing his place.
Headmaster Ceri Jones said: “this is a fantastic achievement and follows an arduous application process completed by our pupils online. As the professional world changes rapidly it is vital that we support pupils to pursue their ambitions and the career route that is right for them. Degree apprenticeships increasingly have many advantages and I am proud of our track record in successfully preparing our young people for this valuable option.”
This year’s success follows Caterhamians securing degree apprenticeship places with BP and EY in recent years.
