U14A Lacrosse Team Runners Up in Surrey County
The U14A team competed in the Surrey County Lacrosse Tournament on Tuesday 22 January. In cold and windy conditions the team played their best lacrosse to date and beat St. Catherine’s 2-1 to win their group, after 7-0 victories against Guildford Bs, Putney Bs and St Catherine’s Cs. This sent the team into the Cup Semi-Finals against Putney High School. This close match was 2-2 at the end of regular time, sending the match into extra time. The U14As scored first in the golden goal extra time to go onto the Cup Finals against St. Catherine’s, the team they beat earlier to win the group. St. Catherine’s were victorious in the final match, winning 2-1, but the standard of lacrosse was incredible from the Caterham players and they should be proud of being County Cup Finalists.
Well done to all players as their effort and standard of play throughout the day was fantastic.
