Vocal Concert
The Vocal Concert was our first event of the musical calendar for this year- a real showcase of some of the amazing singers in the school, from First Year to Upper Sixth. The programme was varied and diverse with five categories of music: Nature and the heart, Comedy, Movie Musicals, Jazz and Songs from the stage. Stand-out performances from those sections have to include; Max K singing ‘The Water Is Wide’ with such poise and precision, Will C singing the hilarious ‘Career Paths’ with such character, Healy D singing ‘A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman with incredible stage presence. Sophia M singing the jazz classic ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ with such style and ‘Tanya C’ performing ‘Far From The Home I Love’ from Fiddler On The Roof with great presence and confidence. The evening ended with Ben W’s fantastic crowd-pleaser, ‘You’ll Be Back’ from Hamilton, delivered with great energy. Congratulations must go to all singers on their fantastic performances.
