About Caterham School - Introduction

Caterham School Main Entrance

Caterham School is a co-educational HMC day and boarding school for pupils aged 3 – 18 years. Learning at Caterham School is an exciting adventure, full of opportunities for personal development, achievement and enjoyment. From Pre-Prep to Sixth Form we offer an education for life, giving our students the knowledge, skills and values they need to create their own success as thoughtful and confident individuals in the world beyond.

The dynamics of the world today suggest that we are moving even further towards a global village with one of the benefits being greater cooperation between countries in business, politics and socio-economic affairs. In our view, this will mean that tomorrow's leaders in government and business need an international perspective. With around 100 overseas pupils from 20 different countries, we are able to provide an early appreciation of cultural and national diversity that benefits all our pupils.

All round the campus you will see signs of our confidence in the future with our modern Sports Centre and all-weather pitch, recently refurbished boarding accommodation, new assembly hall & theatre, and state of the art IT facilities. In 2008 we built a new North Wing to provide improved facilities for Sixth Form pupils and new facilities for the Health Centre. In 2013 we added two more science labs to bring the total to fifteen. All this situated on 200 acres in the beautiful, wooded Harestone Valley.
