From Regimental Sergeant Major to Oxford Physicist
An early start on results day was well worth it for Jonathan, who achieved an outstanding four A*s and secured his place at Exeter College, Oxford, to study a four-year Physics degree.
Jonathan is looking forward to taking his passion for Physics to the next level at university but will certainly miss his friends and his time in the CCF. During his time at Caterham, Jonathan rose to the position of Regimental Sergeant Major, taking on a significant leadership role alongside his academic studies.
Looking back at his time at Caterham School, Jonathan says, “All of the teachers say that as you go up through the years, school gets better and better, and that has been the case for me. Sixth Form has been the highlight of my time here at Caterham.”

From Wright Society Co-Chair to UCL Medicine
Maya P, Co-Chair of Caterham School’s Wright Society, is heading to UCL to study Medicine after achieving an incredible 3 A*s and an A.
For Maya, these results mean she can take the next step towards her dream of becoming a doctor, something she has worked incredibly hard towards. She said: “I’m so excited for the whole university experience and that I get to study medicine. I’ve wanted this for so long and I’m so pleased it is all coming true.”
Maya has also played an important role as Co-Chair of the Wright Society, Caterham’s society for pupils aspiring to pursue a career in medicine.
“The guidance and support we were given as part of the Wright Society was invaluable. It was also great being able to inspire younger members.”
As Maya gets ready to start this exciting new chapter, she is also reflecting on her time at Caterham.
“There are just so many things you can do and so many opportunities waiting for you. I’m going to miss everything about Caterham School, especially all my friends.”
Maya is a testament to her own advice for future pupils: “If you work hard and focus, you can get where you want to go.”

Impressive Results Secure Imperial for Head of School Mathilde
Head of School Mathilde was thrilled to achieve a remarkable 4 A* grades, securing herself a place to study Physics at the prestigious Imperial College London.
Having moved up from Oakhyrst Grange School, Mathilde was a truly integrated member of the Caterham community. Alongside her academic achievements, she was also a remarkable violinist, bringing her talents to school life beyond the classroom.
Reflecting on her time at Caterham, Mathilde said: “Caterham has been amazing and has really prepared us for the future. It has genuinely shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve grown so much here and I’m ready and excited to take the next step up.”
She added: “I will miss the kindness, support and encouragement I have received here at Caterham.”
Lacrosse Captain is off ‘Around the World’
There was an incredible buzz as Head of School and Lacrosse Captain Izzy received her results, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
After her time at Caterham, Izzy will be setting off on an adventure of her own, taking a year to travel the world with friends before heading to the University of York to study TV Production.
Izzy is particularly looking forward to university life and meeting new people who share her passion for television and production. With a clear sense of excitement about the future, she is eager to discover where her course, and university experience, will take her.
A keen hocky and lacrosse player, Izzy says leaving Caterham will be bittersweet.
“I will really miss the community here at Caterham, especially within the sports teams, although I also can’t wait to compete against my friends attending different universities.”
Her time at Caterham has been about much more than academic achievement. Izzy has embraced the opportunities available to her, throwing herself into school life and making the most of everything Caterham has to offer.
“I have loved the opportunities available here and getting involved in everything that Caterham has to offer. I’ve learnt so much about myself through the work in my subjects and sports teams.”

Head of Beech Hanger will be in the History Books
Kate is celebrating her A Level success and looking forward to the next chapter as she heads to UCL to study History.
Having joined Caterham in Third Year, Kate has made the most of her time at the school, particularly through her experience of boarding and her role as Head of Beech Hanger.
“What I’ve loved most is the friends I’ve made and the support within the school. There’s such a great network here.”
Boarding has been a particularly important part of Kate’s Caterham experience, giving her a strong sense of community and lasting friendships.
“Boarding has been a real community experience and I’m going to miss everyone at Beech Hanger.”
As Kate looks ahead to her next chapter, she leaves Caterham with lasting friendships and happy memories of a school community that has played an important part in her journey.

Raya Finds His Path to Oxford
Raya is celebrating after securing his place at Oriel College, Oxford, where he will study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). He is one of 11 Caterham pupils accepted to Oxford or Cambridge this year.
After the nerves of the morning disappeared, Raya was delighted to receive the news. He said: “I’m really excited to get started and meet my new professors.”
Looking back on his time at Caterham, Raya says he will miss the teachers, who have all been “so amazing and approachable”. He added: “It’s meant a lot to be here, the friends I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had. It’s a great school, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else.”
His advice to other pupils is simple: “Follow your dreams and don’t be scared.”

Charlie is off to Tread the Boards
Delighted with his A Level results, Charlie is off to the Oxford School of Drama in September and he’s ready to be challenged and to develop as an actor.
Having joined Caterham Prep at just three years old, Charlie has been part of the Caterham community ever since and says it feels like family, having grown up here. He reflects fondly on his time, adding: “I will miss my teachers and their ongoing support throughout my journey, and I am especially grateful for all their support in sixth form with my decision to pursue my passion.”
It will be a busy autumn for Charlie, as he was accepted into the highly competitive National Youth Theatre and will also be attending membership courses.
His advice for younger pupils? “Don’t settle for what you think is safe. You only live once, so make the most of it.”

Alex G Sets Sights on Manchester
Alex is celebrating after achieving straight A*s across all his subjects, securing his place at the University of Manchester to study Physics.
He said: “I can’t wait to get stuck into university life, explore a new city, meet new people and just set off on a new adventure.”
Reflecting on his time at Caterham, which he joined from The Hawthorns, Alex added: “I will certainly miss some of my teachers. My time here has been invaluable and we’ve had so many opportunities.”
His advice to younger pupils is simple: “Take every opportunity you can. You’ll never regret the skills you learn along the way. It’s what makes you an interesting person.”
Eva says ‘Hola’ to a new chapter in Barcelona
Eva will be embarking on a Fashion Foundation course in Barcelona next year before heading to Arts University Bournemouth to continue her creative journey.
Eva is particularly looking forward to meeting other creative minds, developing her artistic skills and exploring art and fashion in greater depth.
Having joined Caterham School from The Hawthorns, Eva has thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a welcoming and supportive community. ‘My time here has been really fun, and Caterham School is such an inspiring place to come to school. I have made great memories and friendships.’
Eva’s recommendation is to make the most of every opportunity, as the years really do go by so quickly.
