Library Club

Library Club

Library Club takes place every day at lunch time from Monday to Friday. We welcome pupils from all year groups within the School. Those who take part commit to coming on the same day each week to help with various tasks in the Library.Helping in the Library is an excellent way of becoming familiar with the day-to-day work in the Library and how the Library is organised. Pupils learn how to shelve books, how the Dewey system for non-fiction classification works and how to use the Library Online Public Access Catalogue, enabling them to retrieve resources for fellow students. Seniors will learn how to issue and return books and Juniors will also help with displays and upcoming author events.

Particularly for the younger pupils, it can be fun to join Library Club with some friends and to do your regular duty together.

Different subject areas are covered each week including English , Science, Economics and Maths. All are welcome to drop in on subject specific groups.
